How To Access Google Classroom

I have had a lot of questions about how to access Google Classroom, so I am going to include a little tutorial to help everyone get logged in. I hope it's helpful.

First of all, you will need to go to Google Classroom. You can get do a Google search for that page, or you can click HERE. From here, your student will need to login with his/her login information provided by the school. Each student was given an email and password to login to Google, and sixth graders have been using it almost daily in Mrs. Larson's class.

(Please note, that login cannot be obtained by parents or anyone else, it is only accessible with the Pima Schools student email.)

Once they have logged in to their account, they will need to click on the "+" (Join Class) in the upper right-hand portion of the screen.

This will prompt them to type in a class code. Your student should type in the class code I provided in the Remind text. You can also find those codes on the sidebar of this blog. Once they click "Join," they are going to be redirected to my class. They will never again need the class code because now they are officially part of the classroom and my class will come up any time they login to their Google Classroom.

On my class page, they are going to find all sorts of information or assignments that we worked on in class. This is really helpful if they missed something or just need to see something again. Here is an example of my Google Classroom.

Solar Eclipse

We have a field trip Monday! This is very impromptu, but we were invited by EAC to attend their activities for the solar eclipse and we decided this would be a great idea. Students will get to see the shadow of the eclipse on a projector screen, and they will get the opportunity to look through solar telescopes. We have a lot of other fun activities planned in class throughout the week. These include writing activities, crafts, videos, and mapping. Thanks for understanding, and if you have questions email me.
